What was your favorite part of the Marriage Course?
Time away as a couple with a chance to talk with each other.
The weekly time set aside for marriage time (at church and at home); the materials were very useful and practical; the food.
Dedicated time together.
Love in action! Getting to sit down with my wife to a quiet dinner without kids. Having child care available. Wine and margaritas and awesome food and service.
The comfortable setting. Staff was fantastic.
Food and service and DVD and allowing God in.
All of it! It rocked!
How has your relationship has changed since you started the Marriage Course?
More understanding and empathy.
It has made me concentrate on our marriage more - keep it in the forefront of my mind. It has made me more interested in talking and given me subjects to talk about.
Better listening skills.
Much more positive.
Would you recommend the Marriage Course to a friend? Why?
Yes, every marriage should experience this course.
Yes, most definitely! It is not something that only couples with marriage problems should attend. It is fun and beneficial for all couples. It is not intimidating at all.
Yes, the course helps to set up discussion on topics and approach them in a way that helps both spouses.
Absolutely. The Marriage Course gives you time to focus on your relationship as a couple, which we hadn't done since having children.
Yes! I have and will continue to. The atmosphere and format of the course allows couples the time to work on issues and look at things we just don't set aside time to do. It is also a relaxed atmosphere.
Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
I love how the meal is served throughout the evening. That just adds another positive element to the night. The theme nights are great.
Course content is easy to understand and laid out well.
I love the ambiance and setting of the room - tables, lighting, and music.
The food was beyond my expectations.
Thanks to the congregation and volunteers who made this possible.
This was FANTASTIC!
