Wednesday Evening Worship Service

This third worship option gives us additional opportunities to reach out to members of all ages. A midweek worship service helps us reach those who work or are traveling on weekends. Most importantly, this is a great tool for outreach in this community.

The Wednesday Worship program has been developed in response to the congregation's passion for outreach. Steve Spilde, a former Pastor of Trinity, said, "Our mission statement is 'Growing in Faith; Sharing Christ's love.' Our new santuary and building project were designed with that in mind. Now we are adding the staff that will help Trinity reach out in new ways. I feel blessed to serve with two staff members who have such incredible experience and vision."

The staff of Trinity have developed a mid-week worship service for Wednesdays at 6:15 p.m. These services started on June 15, 2005. This service provides a relaxed, contemporary approch to worship, using drama, contemporary music and a special time for children. The service blends the traditional and informal elements of the Sunday worship services.

Spilde said, "We recognize there are many people in the community that would like to go to church but are not able to participate on Sundays due to conflicts with their work and family schedules. Others are seeking a more relaxed, contemporary approach to worship. That's why we're adding the new time on Wednesday evenings. It will be more casual, with contemporary music and drama, including elements that will vary from week to week. We also recognize that those who seek traditional worship still want an experience that is alive and meaningful. That will remain the focus of our Sunday worship. Our goal is to share God's love with more members of this community, helping them to experience fellowship, support, and encouragement."
