Wedding Information

& Request Form

What do we need to do to get married at Trinity?

Schedule your wedding at least 4 months in advance.
The advance notice allows couples to take part in a pre-marital workshop, meet with the pastor and plan the ceremony. The time also serves to strengthen marriages by encouraging couples to consider
their commitment to each other thoughtfully.

Come to worship the number of times agreed upon by couple and pastor.
This requirement is an effort to help couples begin their married life with healthy spiritual practices.

Do marriage preparation
There are presently 3 options from which couples may choose:

  • Saturday marriage preparation seminar presented by Lutheran Social Services.
  • Reading a short book on marriage called Be Good to Each Other and discussing it with Pastor Mark.
  • Completing a program called Prepare offered by Life Innovations.

How much does it cost?

About $370 – $450 for non-members, $270 – $350* for members.

Breakdown of costs:
$20-$100Marriage Preparation Materials (depending on option)
$150Suggested gratuity for the Pastor of the wedding ceremony – this is the same amount the congregation pays to have a pastor fill in for one service.
$100Organist – this is consistent with the amount the American Guild of Organists recommends for a wedding and rehearsal.
$100*Building – this charge is for non-members, to help with heat, air conditioning, lights, etc. There is no charge to members as it is understood that members support every aspect of this ministry, including the building, with their weekly offerings.

Can’t afford it? Call anyway, we’ll do what we can.

How do we set it up?
