Youth on Wednesday
YOW is small group-based and our way to make the path to confirmation down to earth, relevant, and fun!
Trinity’s Youth on Wednesday (YOW) is our middle school youth group (which serves as confirmation class)! We have awesome adult leaders who come to spend time with the students, make them feel cared for, and help them to connect to the materials in an affirming way. They are committed to making class sessions down-to-earth, relevant, engaging, and fun. Students are encouraged to learn and grow in faith through activities, reading, discussion, games, and prayer.
The 8th-grade year of YOW serves as Confirmation Class.
Eighth graders have the opportunity to explore their faith and put it into practice. Students complete service hours, sermon reports, and help to lead worship. In the Spring they work together with an adult leader to create a Faith Statement that allows them to express the faith that they have been grabbing a hold of throughout their years of YOW. Sermon Notes
Listen to a full sermon (either online or in-person) and fill out the form. Need 12.
Community Service Hours
Over the year, plan to volunteer to help in the community or even at a Trinity event to complete. Make sure to have an adult witness and fill out the form! Need 8 hours total.
Worship Volunteer Tasks
Assist with worship service as a greeter, usher, acolyte, communion assistant, reader, or musician four times

Faith Statement
Write and present a faith statement about your journey to your confirmation. This assignment is reviewed and worked on during YOW, but outside work and practice are highly encouraged.
